Refunds
We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel, we’re happy to provide a full refund as long as we receive your request 48 hours prior to the start of VBS. This allows us time to offer your child’s spot to other children on the waitlist. To request a refund, please email stevenk@rbcpc.org with your child’s name and registration details.
Waitlist
VBS is a popular event, and spaces fill up quickly. If you place your child on the waitlist, we will contact you directly if a spot becomes available. If you don’t hear from us, it means the event is full.
What does a typical day at VBS look like?
Elementary students begin and end their day in the Sanctuary. From there, they rotate with their small group leaders through a series of 20-minute stations all around campus. These stations include games, experiments and crafts, Bible stories, a fun Scripture-memorization station called Sticky Scripture, and of course—snacks!
Preschool students also start in the Sanctuary and are picked up from their classrooms at the end of the day. They experience the same types of stations as our elementary kids, but each one is adapted to be developmentally appropriate for younger learners. Most stations come directly to their classroom. Preschoolers head outside to the playground for games and travel once each day to a dedicated Sticky Scripture room.
It’s a full, energetic morning designed to help kids learn, play, and grow in their faith!
How early can I drop my child off each morning?
Drop-off opens at 8:45am each morning in the Sanctuary..
Can my child be in a different age-group than the one they registered for?
Children are placed in the age-group they are registered for, and we are unable to make exceptions to this policy. Your child's age must match the selected age-group during registration. If you don’t see your child’s age-group available on the registration page, it means that the group is full. We appreciate your understanding, as this helps us keep each group organized, safe, and fun for everyone.
Can I request my child be paired with another child?
We’re glad to see kids wanting to experience VBS with their friends—those friendships are something we celebrate! While you’re welcome to reach out and let us know if there’s a friend in the same age-group your child hopes to be with, please understand that we receive an overwhelming number of pairing requests each year. Because of this, we cannot guarantee that children will be placed together. We appreciate your understanding as we work to keep all groups balanced, safe, and fun for every child!
Volunteers & Safety
Who supervises the children? Vacation Bible School is led by both RBCPC staff and background-checked volunteers who are trained to provide a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for all children. All staff and adult volunteers with the Children’s Ministry must complete a Live Scan, background check, and biennial abuse awareness training.
If you’ve ever thought about serving at VBS, we would love to hear from you. Please reach out to stevenk@rbcpc.org to learn more about joining our team.
What to Bring
We provide water stations all around the campus during VBS. Water bottles are recommended, but not required.
For all age groups, children with allergies or dietary restrictions must have their food provided by a parent. If your child has allergies, please write a note on a 3x5 card or sticky note and place it inside their snack bag.
May our Lord continue to bless each of you and your families. See you at Vacation Bible School!
